COM. P.N. CHOWDHURY, GS, EEFI ADDRESSING THE NCCOEEE EASTERN & NORTH EASTERN REGIONAL CONVENTION

1. Government of India has already announced that Electricity (Amendment) Bill, 2014 will be placed in this monsoon session of the Parliament. As EEFI and NCCOEEE decided to observe one day’s token strike/work boycott to oppose the Bill on the day of its placement in the Parliament. All the unions/organizations are to prepare to make the strike successful. All-round campaign should be continued with immediate effect.
2. EEFI, General Secretary visited Chattisgarh on 14th July, 2015 to attend the 1st conference of Chhattisgarh EEFI State Unit. Besides two existing Unions, four other Unions have joined EEFI through this conference. Com. Sunil Asatkar of NTPC, Sipat and Com. S.N. Banerjee of BALCO Union have been elected as President & General Secretary respectively. Detailed report will be published in EEFI Website.
3. Tripura Bidyut Karmi Union , on the occasion of their extended central committee meeting organized a state level convention against Electricity (Amendment) Bill, 2014. Santi Debnath & Com. Prasanta N Chowdhury, General Secretary, EEFI addressed the convention.
